    This helped, and I have the same issues to investigate and correct. I've seen the Brock name for years - these video(s) legitimize your brand. They're proof that you're the real deal and that you stand behind all your parts - the claims, the engineering, and so on. I'm a DIY mechanic, so what I save in labor, I put back into parts and tools. Having a mostly stock bike but slightly lowered in the front, the adjustable kickstand is on the list. The billet pins, thumbs up. Whatever else comes along the way, Brocks just got put on the shortlist. The Suzuki Bond, gasoline treatment, gasket recommendations, torque specs, and the tips and techniques of a master, no matter how beginner they are- all of it is priceless. Thank you! I'm sure your dogs appear in other videos, but give them prime time. Pet ownership has interesting benefits that many don't realize, but they subconsciously identify with other owners who share the experience. This increases your audience's attention span and your UA-cam subscribership, which circles back to the Brock brand. OK, going back to the garage.

      Right on I message the brocks whatsapp yesterday asking the same question. I bought the mod kit and had it over nighted just the other day. Thanks for the response. One more question I understand it's takes some adjusting to get your clutch feel where u want it but should the clutch feel so tight. Like normally if it's in gear not running I can clutch and move it pretty easy now you gotta but some force into. I've been pulling 1.60 60 footers running 6.23 at 120 and a 9.50 at 148 with a factory wheelbase. Only thing that's been done is I've bought the lowering window link, raised my forks. I just went to a 46/16 set up and I'm hoping with your mod I can down to a 6.0 oh yeah I pulled the muffler off like u did on the dyno for the extra 3 ponys lol your videos have been key man. Thanks from one drag racer to another.

      Exactly which bike are we talking about? Yes, the lever pull will usually get 10-15% former with most of our kits. It does get severe with our cushion install though. It's difficult for me to answer fully without knowing which bike we're talking about.

    Hi Brock got a question for you when you were measuring the valve clearance. Does it matter whether or not the cam timing was OK? At the end of part 2 you discovered that the timing was off. if the timing is off if you turn the engine to TDC the piston will be in the correct position, but not the cam. My question is does it matter that the timing was off when you measured. Should this be a last check if you know the timing is off? I own a 2023 Hayabusa and recently my bike all of a sudden went down. I was riding to the gym and all of a sudden I lost power, and big plumes of white smoke started coming out of the tail pipe. I immediately went home about 2 miles away. When I got home i noticed that the was some oil in the exhaust. When I took the fairings off and I got into the air box my heart sank because what I saw was small metal bits in the scattered about. Initially thought something was broken, but upon closer inspection of the debris it appeared to be soft in material much like the cylinder head gasket. Not sure if this true I am going to start with pressure testing the valves and leak tests and inspecting the components to the current service manual. LOL I think it happened because of what you said at the end of part 2. I did all of those things you talked about. I unlocked the ECU and I changed the exhaust to a brocks alien head 2 (I really love the sound, loudest Busa on the road). I think the combination of raising the rev limit, installing a racing racing exhaust, and riding hard 100% of the time took my bike down. While my bike is a 2023 not a lot at the core of the mechanical design has changed, so your videos have been a big reference in trying to diagnose my problems. Thanks man you rock. I also saw your CAM swap vid. I actually feel comfortable doing So that may be the next update at the end of the season

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson 16 днів тому

      Please perform a leak and compression test on your engine. And do not start it until you know what is broken. Unfortunately white smoke and oil in the exhaust are telltale signs of a dropped valve or some other type of top-end catastrophe... Starting the bike in this condition just damages more parts.

    Are the valves on the Gen3 titanium ? For fitting oversize valves in a Gen3 head, would I have to have oversize valve seats machined, inserted & fitted or could I just open out the seats with a Neway Valve Seat Cutter ? Planning on building an 84mm bore & 72mm stroker crank Gen 3.

      Valves will fit. Neither of those cams for sustained street use. I try to stay under .400 lift to stay away from valve spring wear issues. I would suggest getting with the girls at webcam and having a set of generation 3 cams ground. The wider lobes are better for long-term street use, and you can get away with above 400 lift without tearing everything up quickly.

    Hello sir, I recently purchased a pair valve delete kit. With an eliminator for valve itself (plug in). In the instructions, it also states to remove the O2 sensor with yet another eliminator. I understand when the bike starts and is in open loop till it reaches the operating temp. In my head, removing the O2 and installing yet another eliminator would remove the ECUs ability to make adjustments while being ridden. Does the ECU not make any adjustments at all? 2012 zx6r. I'm just trying to understand the reasoning of removing the o2 sensor

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson Місяць тому

      The OEM narrow band O2 sensors ONLY purpose is to lean your bike out at cruising speeds. All other mapping is handled by pre-stored maps in the ECU. Once The O2 sensor (s) are eliminated, The bike will then run off of pre-stored maps on all occasions which means it can also be tuned for high performance without the ECU overriding the performance tune. Unlike autos, motorcycle O2 sensors are not used to determine performance.... Only emissions. There are a few exceptions, such as some BMWs and some Ducati's but no import bikes that we are aware of.

    Thank for sharing! And praise your courage to show how work in progress progresses - most don't do anymore, a pitty! And we hope you'll make more than 220hp soon - the number would help to sell more kits quite a lot. (1)(Maybe a 'little more cam' would still be necessary? Than more courage.) And two - I think we shouldn't forget to praise the Suzuki tech guys here too - their stock cams are small and still perform. I hadn't even believed them for being good for 199 hp - 'because they look more like 177 hp' (don't they?). 1 - I would just as well like to see a coming 'Brocks Performance Hayabusa 230 hp guaranteed' kit available - all tested parts and components in one kit - maybe an even better selling name for it and a price premium. 'The one and only true 230 hp kit in the market'. Current Busa: Bore x Stroke 81 x 65 mm, 1.340 ccm @9700/min 230 hp equals 172 hp per 1000 cc - should be possible @ 11k or 11.5k rpm? (If crank/piston/rod are good for 24 m/s like with S1000RR) - The Busa comes with +34% displacement like a S1000RR - that's why about 10% more hp than the S1000RR ('230 hp instead of 207 hp') should be possible - even without shiftcam - and at lower m/s piston speeds.)

      More rpm is a dangerous slope on the Gen 3 engine as Suzuki techs squished it pretty tight to get it to run ok with the dinky cams...as well as to help it pass emissions, I'm sure. 11.5K is where we are now and the piston to head clearance is about as close as I'm comfortable with.

    Do you need to change the ecu timing?

      I don't know what you mean?

    • @DSOXBLADE
      @DSOXBLADE Місяць тому

      @BrockDavidson After installing the drop-in cams. Does the timing from the ecu need to be adjusted or base zx10r timing will do?

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson Місяць тому

      I assume we are speaking of ignition timing. If so, it's already optimized in our flash. Adding the cams does nothing to require additional ignition timing adjustments.

    I'm having idle surging at warm idle on my 2013 gsxr750, full exhaust system with flashed ecu. Going to unblock my pair hose to see if that smoothes things out. Thanks!

    • @BrockDavidson
      @BrockDavidson Місяць тому

      Idle surge is typically caused / corrected by the flash. Also check throttle body sync.

      @@BrockDavidson Hey Brock thanks for the reply. My tuner from out in Washington area told me that idle surge is normal on gsxrs because of the lack of back pressure. Did not offer any other solutions. When you did that paper suction test, the increased rpm seems like it could help my situation. Will be giving it a go this evening after work. Figure trying the least expensive fixes first 👍🏼

    Great work 👍🏻 The gen 3 had a lot of emissions hoops to jump through to be euro legal.....the zzr1400/zx14 hasn't been on sale for a few years in Europe, haven't got any GSXRs 🙁
